Neighborhood and village gates need controlled delegation: household managers maintain their own roster, while each organization decides which members it admits and what doors they may use.
OpenApp is ingress-only software, not a listed fire or escape-door system. Occupants must be able to exit without a phone or the cloud. Compliance
A resident opens the community gate using the phone - as usual, for example like with the old PalGate app (PalGate is only an example; other hardware can be used). They can also open by scanning a QR code, or by voice with AI. Household leads invite family members by email or phone; each person registers or signs in, verifies an invited contact, and accepts. The household manager sees each member's approval status by organization. A building admits each member separately by default; an organization can explicitly choose automatic admission for its own household link. Authorized site administrators see household and member display names to make admission decisions, not residents' contact details.

Residents invite household members directly instead of asking the building to create accounts or add phone numbers. Community managers keep the admission decision: they can review each named household member for their organization, while families keep control of who belongs in their own roster. Hardware you do not need to replace
At many sites, parking and entrance gates are controlled by a PalGate controller. Keep using your existing hardware (and the old apps) with no need to replace the access controller or install new hardware components. OpenApp works with PalGate controllers, so you can open the gates from the OpenApp app as well. You do not need to call a technician to integrate into your access-control solution - you complete the integration yourself, easily, from your phone.
